First of all, this has been quite an adventure. I've gone through quite a bit of money, trial, and error to get where I am at. I would like to share some knowledge so that (noobies especially) are a bit more aware of how this works exactly, what the different components are, and what just works together.
Part A: The battery
So first, you need a 510 threaded variable voltage battery. I highly suggest the Vision Spinner, which can be had for $21 off ebay in the 1300 mah model (more mah = longer lasting battery). You can also use any other 510 threaded variable voltage pen really. I personally use an e-vic with a shortened battery tube running an 18350 IMR battery, but have a vision spinner as well. So pick whatever makes you happiest. Really, the battery is about the most un-important thing in terms of having large clouds. Just get variable voltage, and 510 threading. Got it yet?
Part B: The 'Head'
Next, is the critical part. You need to get what I call the 'head' of the pen. The head is where the magic happens. On the interior, there is what is called an 'atomizer'. All that simply is, is the device that actually gets hot and heats up the product. Atomizers are replaceable. Originally, I was taking the wicks out (a small piece of cotton stuffed in the center of the coil) but found that leaving the wicks in seemed to work a bit better. I am going to review some of the popular choices, and what I think works best in terms of 'off the shelf' head setups. Keep in mind, you can get super crazy and go to rebuildable atomizers and start wrapping your own coils, but I suggest new people start here first. You might find that this method just works well beyond anything you'd ever need.
Seego V-hit Type C and Type-B - I originally started with this model of head unit. I really liked it because it was reminiscent of the typical bulb shape you see on lots of glassware. My thoughts were initially were, well, more airspace = better rip. This is true to some regard, but it also hinders the product. The type-c is built with a 'hat' that goes on top of the atomizer. This hat keeps product from getting flung around on the interior of the glass. It keeps things nice and clean looking. However, dealing with 'the hat' is a huge pain. Eventually it gets quite sticky, as do the threads. It makes it near impossible to get on/off at times without using a lighter to get the juices flowing. Another large caveat that the type-c suffers from, is the glass globe/dome itself. The glass globe is definitely more prone to breaking than any other model. This is because the globe sticks out wider than a pen is. Even wider than my e-vic...which is pretty wide. So if you stand your pen up, and accidentally tip it over...better have replacement glass on standby. So when you do eventually break your glass, it's good to know how to get the new glass globe on. The type-b is a lot slimmer, and isn't as prone to breaking...but don't think it can't break easily either. The best method i found for changing components on the head though, it to put a dab of vegetable oil on the o-rings at the base, and on the mouthpiece o-ring. This will help them slide into the glass much easier. I have broken glass just putting the tip back in alone...or pulling the pieces apart with no vegetable oil as well. The glass is brittle. Treat it with care. Another big problem I had with the head, was that it would get clogged very easily due to product melting together after use. When this happens, you get 2 results. The first, is little to no airflow...so it's like sucking a golf ball through a straw. Not cool. The other result, is eventually it will open up, but the wax underneath is a lot hotter than the wax above it, so it will erupt out and splatter. If you're not wearing the wax hat on the atomizer, it will get everywhere on the interior of the glass. The other thing I did not like, was the ramp up time it took to get a decent hit. Sometimes it just wouldn't hit right at all. Sometimes I would have to take 30-40 second draws at once.
Seego V-hit Glacier -The glacier addresses some issues of the Type-B & Type-C. It doesn't use a 'hat' anymore...keeps much cleaner looking glass. It has a bit better airflow, a little better overall design...but still suffers from the clog of death. The Glacier is the newest model, and a decent buy for a single coil setup...but still far from perfect
The Cannon - My personal favorite. This beastly head is a DUAL coil atomizer. It will vape your product FAST, so you don't have to hit it for near as long...which I like a lot more. The dual coils really give you the most true 'dab' like hits. It's really amazing. Another great feature about The Cannon, is that it is PURE METAL. Meaning...NO GLASS!!! Honestly, The Cannon feels like it will strip the threads off the pen before it actually breaks. It's very durable. And because it's all metal...it's very discrete. The Cannon also has 2 holes for airflow, so the air is just about always flowing unless you put a huge dab on there. It CAN still clog, but not nearly to the degree that the Seego line does. The Cannon just simply kicks ass and takes names. It is so much easier to deal with, much easier to reclaim any splatter from...and most importantly....hits like a beast.

TL:DR- Buy any 510 threaded variable voltage battery, add 'The Cannon' atomizer (both of which are found on ebay), and start vaping.
